'Sleepy Harbor', one of my favorite paintings from this year's harbor series has been selected for another prestigious exhibition, The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society's 41st Annual International Juried Exhibition. Juror and renowned artist, David R. Smith had the difficult task of selecting 127 paintings from 633 spectacular images entered by 364 artists.

Here is a section of the juror's statement that particularly resonated with me:

"I tried to take this into consideration and not just look at the paintings with a "technical eye", but also simply view the paintings in terms of whether I felt drawn to the painting; does the painting illicit an emotion, does the piece hold my interest?

Lastly, I appreciate risk-taking, originality, and/or a thought-provoking painting or a piece that tells a story or brings me into the scene."

The exhibition will be online from September 26th to November 1 on the PWS website: www.pacs.com
